On the 27th of march, our school's main steel band will be playing at a school in Ashton. The pans that they play are made of metal. Certain parts are tuned to certain notes, and you hit them to play that note. You pay to play the pans, and you can first start in year 2. The main band is year 6 only, and the main band goes out and plays in different places. We have played at Handforth Dean, we play at a St.George's parade, and we play at church fairs. However, you pay fifty pounds a term. There will be upcoming info on concerts, so stay tuned!

SAT presentations
Last week our headteacher, Mrs. Ames, made Class N do a presentation on 2006 science SAT paper A page 16 question 7. Every table did their own thing, including low-budget productions, PowerPoint prresentations, TV shows and demonstrations. The question sees Josh and Safia put a cold plate with ice cubes on top on a bowl of hot water. Soon water drips from the plate. If the ice cubes melt the water cannot seep through the plate. Why did the droplets appear? Quite simple if you understand evaporation and condensation.
